Project Engineer at Grant Innovation

Led expansion of small engineering consultation business into designing and manufacturing devices for research and laboratory needs.. Increased business revenue by 75% by creating a website (grantinnovation.com) that showcased the businesses abilities and then directly selling services to new clients. Grant Innovation has a strong reputation among its clients for ability to solve highly technical problems as well as design and manufacture devices economically.

Projects that I led engineering and design on can be seen in the portfolio on the Grant Innovation website.

Field Engineer at Current Power Solutions

Led field engineering projects for both new and old oil rigs involving generator controls, drives and controls of motors, as well as new hybrid battery generator technonlogy.

At Current Power, I initially worked on providing support for ongoing current power rigs. Whenever a client would have an issues with their rig I would troubleshoot the problem remotely and then if needed go in person to fix the problem. Above all else, my task was to prevent rig downtime. If needed, was available at any hour to find solutions to rig issues.

I then moved into a role working on commissioning new rigs. In this role I wrote and executed commissioing documentation to ensure that new rigs were tested thoroughly before going into the field. This role involved long periods of time at rig up yards ensuring that all current power systems worked as intended and integrated well with all other rig systems.

Finally, I worked with new EcoCell hybrid battery technology testing the systems on select rigs to see if batteries could be used to take reduce peak electrical loads on generators and therefore increase efficiency and lower fuel costs. I led the commissioning of several EcoCells, provided design changes from issues I found in my testing, and collected data on the results of EcoCells to provide to senior engineers and sales representatives.

Commissioning Engineer at G-CON Manufacturing

Operated commissioning projects for new laboratory cleanrooms for companies such as Pfizer, Merck, and Eli-Lily during the Covid-19 pandemic. At G-CON manufacturing, my role was to write and execute FDA approved commissioning documentation for new laboratory cleanrooms.

During the execution of the commissioning, I validated HVAC systems, mechanical piping systems, electrical systems, and extensive automation systems. Laboratory cleanrooms are multi-million dollar construction projects with accelerated construction timelines. Especially during the pandemic.

In this role, I not only tested and troubleshooted all aspects of the cleanrooms but also managed proposals, schedules, and budgets for the projects. As issues during testing arose, I managed the subcontractors and internal departments responsible for those issues and worked with the client to ensure their expectations were met.
